Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Earth Day? This year Earth Day falls on a weekend which makes celebrating an all-day event!
It’s not too early to plan on joining your community on April 22nd from 10am-5pm at the Gazebo and Avenue A Location. There will also be a no-waste picnic and eco-friendly movie from 5-8pm, so bring your own cup, plate and utensils, and head down to the Riverside Gallery and Natural Clothing Company.
And if this is your first time getting out into the community for this special day, don’t worry, we’re guessing you’ve been doing a few things at home that would be cause for celebration.
Do you cook from scratch? Recycle? Reduce? Reuse? Buy Used? Turn lights off when nobody is in the room? All of these things contribute to creating an environment we can be proud of. Doing just one of these things everyday saves money, time and energy.
Snohomish is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with pristine rivers, breathtaking mountain views, rich farmland and crisp air. Keeping it clean by volunteering in the City Wide Clean-up and Household Clean-up events is a helpful way to display your efforts at conservation and waste reduction.
But on Earth Day, we get to celebrate with our neighbors, friends and local businesses to see how others are doing their part, and learn what more we can do. Historic Downtown will be transformed by waving Earth Day flags, booths showcasing natural products, organic food, animal protection information, recycled art made by children, natural skincare, live demonstrations, a chance to pledge, and more.
Just in case you want to celebrate on Saturday too, there will be a tree planting event. This is a great way to introduce kids to the beautification of our city. Organize some friends and neighbors and make it a fun get-together!
If you would like to showcase a product, ask questions, or volunteer for this event, visit Natural Clothing Company’s Facebook Page here. Or contact Alina at 877-800-8878.
Looking forward to seeing you!
