The Official Blog for the City of Snohomish, WA
Motorcycles. They continue to capture the hearts of millions around the world. Is it the loud roar of the engine? The freedom of balancing on two wheels or the feeling of being at one with the elements? Each person’s reason is as unique as the modifications they make to their own bikes. The 17th Annual Sky Valley Antique & Classic Motorcycle Show is a chance to meet the people who love to ride, and check out the bikes too.
Mark your calendar for May 19th, 2013 when Historic Downtown Snohomish will be transformed into a bike oglers paradise. The purpose of this show is to appreciate mechanical marvels that still perform decades after their first ride. It’s also a chance to view custom bikes, learn about safety and celebrate motorcycle awareness month in May.
First Street will be closed from Avenue D to Cedar Avenue, and part of Glen up to Second Street. There will be vendors, a band, and a lot of community participation. You’ll get to vote for your favorite bike and see if it wins a trophy.
If you’d like to register a bike, the cost is $15 the morning of the event starting at 9am. Click here for more information.
While you’re downtown visit the shops, which will still be open, and eat outside on one of the many decks and sidewalks of our eateries. This motorcycle event has been a treasured one here in Snohomish. We’re looking forward to another year.
